  1. Several times I thought the other guy was waiting for you to commit yourself and then exploiting that. On the one hand, obviously someone needs to take a punt so you don’t spend a whole round circling, but (i) if you find you’re doing it much more of the time perhaps you could take a break (ii) if you can spot whether he’s reacting in consistent ways (tricky under pressure I know!) perhaps you can be ready to take advantage of them.

    Also, it was very noticable that the first round opened very vigorously but much of the rest of the match you were both slower and more wary. Something else I wonder if you could exploit?

  3. One thing I noticed was that he seemed to have a slightly better idea of range than you – a few times, you’d kick, and be just out of range, and he’d be able to counter-attack.
