So, how do you tell the difference between hamthrax and just a summer cold? I’ve got a sore throat, runny nose, dry cough, lots of sneezing and feel pretty run down and kind of achy. My thermometer reckons my temperature was 40.6° C but it was obviously faulty because it still said this after it had been in the freezer for 10 mins. However I do feel kind of warmer than usual. I checked my symptoms on the NHS piggy diagnosis site and it suggests that it is swine flu and gave me a magic number for antivirals. For flu it feels pretty mild though (I managed 2 hours of BJJ rolling last night and going out for a meal with my brother in Mcr today) so I don’t want to misdiagnose myself with it now and then find later on that I get it “again” for real. Aside from this bug I’m usually very fit and healthy so it’s hard to tell, but a bit of bed rest will probably do me some good anyway.
Probably best to hit tesco.com and order next week’s food online tomorrow rather than trying to toddle into Horsforth.
